About us

c/o HOPS is a magazine all devoted to the fantastic world of beer and was founded in 2013 by Me and My Magazines. The publishing of the print version of c/o HOPS Magazine is going to end after the 30th issue is release sometime during 2024.

Our colleagues

We got a really awesome bunch of contributors to our magazine, and we like them a lot. Therefore we want to do a shout out for each and everyone. List below in alphabetical order: 

 

Bartosz Kosowski
Bartosz is an illustrator based in Lodz, Poland. On a daily basis he draw portraits, editorial illustrations and film posters. He have worked with Legendary Pictures, The New Yorker, The New Republic, Slate, The Hollywood Reporter, Smithsonian and Chicago Magazine but he says ”most people associate me with my two movie posters – ‘Lolita’ and ‘Jaws‘”. He did the awesome cover of our summer issue 2017

Bohman + Sjöstrand
Fredrik Bohman and Andreas Sjöstrand is the food loving photographer duo. They are based in Stockholm but working all over the world for customers as Absolut, Byredo Parfums, H&M, Hermés, IKEA, Dell, GQ, ICON Magazine and Rodebjer. Some of the work they done for us is Ostar & Öl, Flytande, svart guld and Oaxen

Colin Eick
Oslo based photographer that loves working with travel, food and beverage, and the passionate people behind. Co-author to the homebrewing books Ølbrygging – Fra Hånd Til Munn and Brygg mer øl. And the the beer and food paring book Øl & Mat – Hånd i hånd. Some of the work they done for us is Bøgedal BryghusLambicland and Lindheim Ølkompani

Carl Undéhn
Hamburg based travel journalist and photographer. Some of the work they done for us is Oktoberfest i Tyskland, 500 år av reinheitsgebot, Nya vindar över Belgrad and Polsk revolution

Daniel Stigefelt
Daniel is a photographer based in Stockholm and works primarily with portraits. He has photographed people like Adam Tensta, Gina Dirawi and Saga Becker. For our double issue Reinheitsgebot vs Stunt Beer he photographed Henok Fentie and Richard Bengtsson.

David Möller
David is a Malmö based photographer with many competing interests, including history, fiction and politics. He is most drawn to portrait and fashion photography. He photographed the food reportage with Grand Öl & Mat, Sjömagasinet and Upper House Dining

Filip Sigholm
Together with three of his former classmates from Fotoskolan Stockholm, he runs the retouching company Layer 1 Retouch. But he’s not only retouch he also photographs, among others the portraits of Fredrik ”PangPang” Tunedal, Saltstänkt kräftskiva and the photos of our favorite beers. You can follow his work on his Instagram account.

Jens Skrubbe
Jens is one of Sweden’s top experts in Belgian beer and he works both behind the bar at Pressklubben and at the member club Belgoklubben. Some of the work he done for us is Flytande, svart guld, Lentebier, Brekeriet briljerar.

Jonas Bergstrand
Jonas is an illustrator based in Stockholm. He has worked for FIFA, The Motorist and have illustrate many labels for Gotlands bryggeri. He did one of the covers of our double issue Reinheitsgebot vs Stunt Beer. And the start spread illustration for 500 år av reinheitsgebot.

Jonas Henningsson
Jonas is travel journalist and author behind the book Mikrorebeller – Den svenska ölrevolutionen. Some of the work he done for us is Pale Ale – Om stilarnas uppkomst, Lambicland, Vad kallar vi vår öl?, Saison and Tokyo

Kelsey Dake
Kelsey is the illustrator behind our ninth cover and the awesome hop cone in our logo. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona. She has illustrated for Nike, Converse, the New York Times Magazine and Lucky Peach.

Martyn Cornell
Martyn Cornell is a leading beer writer, beer historian and author in the UK whose award-winning books include Strange Tales of Ale. He blogs at zythophile.co.uk. He wrote about the traveling beer writer Michael Jackson in our 19th issue

Matilda Lindeblad
Matilda has a background as fashion photographer in London, Paris and New York, and today she is one of Sweden’s most established food photographers, commissioned by companies such as Arla, Scan, Martin & Servera, Skånemejerier and newspapers like Allt om vin and Gourmet. Matilda have only work with us one time so far when she photographed the food reportage with Paul & Christofer for the summer issue 2017

Nadja Karlsson
Nadja Karlsson is one of Sweden’s major beverage profiles. She works as a testimonial and expert at Spritmuseum and educator at Systembolaget. Her own beverage testings are highly appreciated and have been described as “a mix between Nobel dinner and stand up”. Before she entered the beverage world 20 years ago she worked as a writer photographer. She did the reportage Den gränslösa ölen.

Tim McDonagh
Tim is the illustrator behind the stunt cover of our double issue Reinheitsgebot vs Stunt Beer. He is based in Brighton, UK and had been commissioned for Variety, Nike and Wired. He describes himself as an enthusiastic beer drinker and his favorite brewery is the British Burning Sky.

Victor Jönsson
Victor is an illustrator and graphic designer who has just finished his second year att Konstfack. He has illustrated for the magazines Offside and Filter. For us he has illustrated the beautiful portrait of Michael “Beer Hunter” Jackson. If you want to see more of Victor’s work, check his Instagram account @vickypedias.
